BlackBerry Z10 Could Arrive on March 22nd

BlackBerry Z10 Could Arrive on March 22nd
kaijingaijin.
Being Canadian, it's always saddened me to see how far this company has fallen. A few years ago, everyone I knew had a BB. I mean everyone, even my parents and grandparents. BBM was the coolest thing ever...hope they can find some success in this Apple/Samsung warzone.

Hey Lauren, you can stop saying RiM now...
archimedes87.
People still use Blackberry's?
Captain_Hilts.
Wow, people who still say "people still use Blackberrys?" still exist?
Bf4life.
I dunno, you might as well get yourself an iPhone or a Razr Maxx in my opinion.
BesaLaManoAPapa.
or a alcatel
amonte64.
Of course. All the negative talk on Blackberry and praise of iOS and Android is BS, even years ago. It was true that the top Blackberry was outperformed by the top iPhone or Android device in some aspects but the BB still outpermed them in some aspects as well. Plus, the other BBs matched or outperformed the other iOS and Android devices. Blackberry 10, Z10, even Blackberry 7 and BB 7 devices (even BB 6 and BB 6 devices) are amazing devices to this day and match and outperform iPhone and Android in some aspects and the other way around. I've had an iPhone since day, switched to Android, came back to iOS. Later, I did some investigating and found out it was BS and that each platforms outperforms the other in different aspects. Now I'm getting a Blackberry 9810 and getting the Q10 and selling my iPhone. In reality, the only real differences between each platform is that BB is currently missing some apps, the others don't, security and privacy is non existent on iOS and Android but BB is all about security and privacy, BB gives us all the great consumer conveniences and pros like removable battery, expandable storage, standard ports and fast, up to date updates on devices that can handle the update, unlike the others, yes some Android give us removable batter and expandable storage but they don't get updates.

I use..have a BB Bold 9900. My collegues said I was mad spending money on a BB. I'm happy with the handset. The OS is not user friendly, but it handles multitasking very well ... the email feature is awesome, the battery last a lot (no matter if you use to see videos, web browsing, etc) and the RF is amongst the best (the chip + antenna responsable for signal reception). There are not so many apps. The cool party is that every transaction is encrypted (mail, web browsing, etc) since everything goes to BB servers in Canada (I'm in Brazil, but when I type www.ign.com ... it goes to ca.ign.com).
ciii.
Sony Xperia Z ...that is all.
MegaHardcoreEdd.
No, it doesn't perform well. It uses a S4 Pro which is used in many other (older) devices, It's last gen. But, HTC One has some powerful specs, and LG Optimus G Pro. Can't wait.
TheMLGGoldfish.
no Verizon though... I'm not sure what to do. iPhone or wait fir the One to come to verizon

Am I the only one who liked my Blackberry Torch?
psp_underground.
I LOVED my blackberry torch. I would get the Z10 if I didn't buy a new phone a few months ago.
orcuttcombatmedic.
I had the Pearl for a while and loved it, but some Blackberry purists don't consider the Pearl a real Blackberry, so what do I know. But, it was actually one of the better phones, if not the best phone, I had before the touchscreen era. I have a GalaxyS3 but I still envy using the buttons on Blackberry, they are such a joy to use. That may be why I am more excited for the Q10 than the Z10.
amonte64.
Nope, I'm actually getting a Torch 9810 soon! and then the Q10, that is if I find it worthwhile, if not then I'll wait for the next keyboard BB10 device. :D
nunivek87.
Technically, they renamed the company to Blackberry so the article shouldn't say RIM.
BajaricaN.
The delay is stupid, especially since you have Samsung's GS4 on the horizon. I think the Z10 and Q10 are awesome looking phones. I really want BLACKBERRY (formerly known as RIM) to succeed so that I can get an update to the BB Style phone ;-). That there will be my dream phone (A flip phone with a capacitive touch screen on top, and full qwerty keypad on bottom, the perfect hybrid of old and new school).
mannholloway1.
And how many people will actually give a crap?
lizardlicked.
The keyboard/texting breakthroughs they have could be a game changer, and likely will be adopted by other companies, even if the phone ultimately flops. The predictive keyboard will allow you to type quickly with one hand by swiping the desired words quickly to the screen. If you make a mistake, you swipe the keyboard and the word is instantly deleted. It's really intuitive and is the standout feature in my early experience with it. The real issue RIM faces is whether they can draw the top apps to their platform. Android and Apple have a big lead in that area, so if Blackberry can't draw support from developers or the business community, it faces an uphill battle for sure. Hopefully though they gain some traction with the release--since competition often breeds innovation and benefits the consumer.

BlackBerry Z10? Tsk, when's that Xperia Z out?
mvpcrossxover.
they still sell well in the UK only struggling in the US i believe
amonte64.
It sells extremely well everywhere, except for maybe US. I think it sells well in US, just not as much as iOS and Android, yet.
guch20.
They shoulda called it the BlackBerry Zzzzzzzz10, amirite?
Skitchin.
If it doesn't have android, its gonna fail...
Time-lord-Man.
Apple would like a word...
guch20.
This.
Skitchin.
Dude Apple isn't gonna put iOS on a non apple device. Lol, so many likes for your comment too.
TheMLGGoldfish.
Did you really, seriously think that's what he meant?
Skitchin.
Um yea. I said if it, meaning this particular BB, doesn't have android it will fail. He, or she, stated apple would like a word. I took it to mean apple>android. That's all well and good, but apple is not gonna let another company use iOS so I really didn't understand thepoint of the comment in this thread.

It was hour that Black Berry gets back in action.
kill4money213.
I don't think this is going to last. Blackberrys, to me at least, were always more of a business phone, then a one you use leisurely.
Gman21463.
It was released in the middle east since February.

Will my money be well spend?
schowazard.
Little late hug blackberry?
Lex429.
I know a lot of people who still have Blackberrys. They all love their BBs. They say that BBs are very intuitive. I might get rid of this iPhone 5 and jump on this new Blackberry. Looking forward to seeing it when it comes out.
eXcursionMacDaddy.
I personally can not see RIM compete with the likes of android , IOS based products in today's cell market.
xBURK.
The company is no longer called Research in Motion. (RIM) It has changed the company name to just BlackBerry. The company has gone through many changes in the last two years. The biggest is getting a new CEO and creating a brand new operating system that runs on QNX. Yes, people have reason to doubt the company, but they will also be surprised how amazing the new phones and operating systems are. It's going to take time, but after using the Z10 for one month, I feel there is no other phone that can compete. I got rid of my iPhone 5 already. Keep in mind, the reviews on the net were done before the first update. I think they waited to launch in the USA to get the small bugs worked out. On a side note, I find it so funny how people fight about which phones are better. Can't we just buy what we like and all get along?
starkiller47.
The Blackberry Pearl to me was the best phone ever.
Curry Cub.
Oh that's right. I forgot that ancient company known as RIM. Didn't people in Biblical times carry BBs around? Primitive devices compared to iOS.
Marvel13.
It would've been better looking if it was white, the black is not working for me
TopJoshDragon.
No no no. That's the Whiteberry Z10 you're thinking of.
jds6950.
There's a white one coming out too: http://cdn-static.cnet.co.uk/i/c/blg/cat/mobiles/blackberry-z10-white.jpg
