Amazon Kindle Fire - 7 Inch Tablet with Wi-Fi for $199 in pre-sale!

Amazon Kindle Fire - 7 Inch Tablet with Wi-Fi for $199 in pre-sale! Amazon: For The Third Week, Kindle (Including The Fire) Sales Have Surpassed 1 Million Per Week | TechCrunch
@Jeremy Johnston
WOw!
@Benjamin Popper
The press release says they are selling 1 million "Kindle devices" each week. So that's across the whole family of Kindles. Meaning the number of Kindle Fire tablets sold each week is probably far less than 1 million.
@Matt Burns
Yeah, I screwed the pooch there. Fixed within seconds of you pointing that out. Thanks.
@Andrew Davis
In any event Amazon's ass-kicking is at an all-time high. Cool infographic on Amazon's world domination plan here: http://cpcstrategy.com/blog/2011/12/amazon-vs-the-world-an-infographic/
@Chris Lake
love Matt's responsiveness!
@Matt Walsh
Unless I'm mistaken, its 1 million Kindles per week. That includes the ereaders as well as the Kindle Fire.

@Daniel Kay
Kervin Pierre then you should stay out of business.
@Kervin Pierre
Jobs is talking about a guy that kicked his butt for almost three decades. Yes, I'd be bitter as well.
@Chris Domico
Um, yeah, that's not just Fires.
@Betty Arps
The Fire is the best-selling of the Kindle models, however, so maybe 400,000 per week. Still amazing.
@John Whitefish
FWIW, Apple sold 711,000 iPads per week in Q3, a non-holiday quarter.
@Paramendra Kumar Bhagat
I saw this coming. http://technbiz.blogspot.com/2011/09/finally-ipad-has-competition.html
@T.j. Goldsby
a great product for the 99% who can't afford an iPad. Unlike the iDevices, this tablet supports one-click sales for much higher priced items. 2012
@Anthony Singhavong
sweet picture.
@Julian Hugh
Its very impressive based on these numbers. Hate it or love it, Amazon is showing everyone how its done. Its definitely because of the price. Maybe this will show other companies that people will buy tablets if the price is right.
@Mike Stone
Amazon is being real secretive above how much stock of Kindle Fire they have. Even http://watchmyitems.com/?item=B0051VVOB2 is only showing Quantity as 1. Anybody wants to guess if they will go out of stock soon?
@Guillermo Rascon
I read that a larger kindle fire 2 is in the works already.
@Douglas Bittinger
I love my kindle but have no interest in the Fire. I guess I'm just a fuddy-duddy: I like the eInk screen and bought it to get away from reading on a computer screen. The Fire would defeat that goal. Sticking to my Kindle 3.
