Well, how tragic for such an awesome maker of many electronics. Phones, gaming consoles, etc, they are good at everything they do. But these tiny incidents don't stop me from continuing support..

For example, Microsoft, which encountered the original Xbox consoles with overheating issues..good that they rectified it fast. Even companies like Apple are plagued with plentiful of problems..just how each company conceals the stuff from the general public.

The list of model numbers does not match the list of model numbers from the japanese press release. For instance, this article lists KDL-40W3000, but the press release doesn't. Do you have information that the press release isn't releasing, or is that an error?

I will never buy another Sony TV again. After 16 months, horizontal lines appear for the first 15 minutes of use and it's getting worse. It seems to be a common problem among Sony TVs. Shouldn't Sony take responsibility for their poor engineering design?

My TV is Model KDL-52XBR9, was manufactured in October 2009, and was purchased April 2010. Symptoms began in August 2011. All Sony can do for me is give the phone number of a repair shop.

May people are having these problems with there LCD tv's, that you are having. It's called a bonding issue. The problem is with the display panel, that sony the BIG hot shot company that they are bought from Samsung, which Samsung has had problems with.

I own Sony from last 10 yrs.. no issues, no failure.. my good luck or products are really awesome.. I plan to buy another Sony bravia this diwali.. no impact to indian market of this crap..i checked its an really old model..
