I wonder if this will go over as well as the Spotify and Netflix partnerships have?

Now I know how to describe their relationship. Facebook and Apple are frenemies.

While I agree that the iPad app is a long time coming, I don't think "it is in live code" or "it looks ok" are valid arguments. First, if you're building a universal app, it only makes sense to have the code together and simply turn off the iPad half. Second, as any software developer knows, the bigger the stakes & scope, the more need there is for testing.

Think about the Twitter integration with iOS5. Now imagine Facebook with that same level of integration. They are waiting to announce this In conjunction with Apple’s Tuesday event.

This is what I am waiting for! Big question is not how Platform based Facebook is going to become, it is how social is Apple going to be!

If iOS 5 had Facebook integration, they would've given developers time to use it.

The reason TechCrunch will succeed in the web-based journo game is because the reporters have sources. They aren't just taking content from other places and adding value by analyzing it. Real news is source-driven discovery. Boom. You get a point for this point, MG Siegler.

Apple only sells content, and distributes apps, to add value to their devices, so what do they care if its in Safari?

Wasn't the point of Spartan to have a web app that behaved like an app store app? Why launch both?
