This looks legit. But, I'm getting tired of all the leaks. It's already the 2nd half of September and Apple hasn't announced their annual 'music' related event yet. What gives? Bring out the iPhone 5 already so we can start talking about iPhone 6.

Bing Ang it'll depend on the specs. That, and what kind of price I can get it for. I got an iPhone 4 back in July of 2010 so I'm not due for an upgrade for a little while (and AT&T doesn't like customers like me who are 1) still on unlimited data and 2) have the lowest possible monthly rate of $83 after taxes).
It may also depend on what the deal is with other carriers. Verizon isn't an option for me because you can't talk + surf at the same time which for me is a dealbreaker. That and AT&T 3G network is faster and the iPhone 5 will most likely NOT be 4G/LTE.
I kind of want to wait for an LTE iPhone but it will all just depend on what the device does when it comes out and how big that differentiates itself from the iPhone 4.

James Gee Gunaca which plan are you on now?... i have the grandfather unlimited data plan as well for the 3GS... also have unlimited txting; just switched over to the 700 anytime unlimited mobile to any mobile plan and I think I'll be a close to yours (maybe a little over)... I'm fearful that AT&T will force us to lose our grandfathered data plans eventually... I can just hear AT&T say something like this "You have an IPhone data plan, you can't keep it if you upgrade to the iPhone "Plus" (or whatever fancy name gets added on overtime)... but in all honesty, I have yet to use anything close to "unlimited"; my biggest data usage month was 1.4GB in the past 18 months... I would have saved money by downgrading my dataplan... I hang on to now because of its "secrecy" and in fears of voice getting swapped over to data eventually (thinking Skype, GoogleVoice, etc...)

iOS 5, iPhone 5, Oct 5 (10.5) if that makes any sense, that seems like the plan.

Sorry for comment jacking!
Doesn't anyone else spot the photoshop mastery on the 'A' in the A5 chip after the fruit which also looks so shopped!!

Click like if your sick and tired of blogs posting about every little detail that surfaces about a phone that will look and behave like the last one. Apple is not KNOWN to make drastic changes to their line-up.

We would but we're also sick of people using the like button for polling a question that is an obvious yes... So.. don't take the fact that you received no likes as disagreement with your comment..

I vote real. It is too similar to an iPhone to not be. And unless there are some real shady folks in the manufacturing plant, this wouldn't have made its way to the clones yet. Or would it?

BTW Greg, you get a 'like' for use of the word 'splayed' in regards to tech hardware. :)

I've just noticed(may be it was obvious to everyone else) that processor labeling corresponds to the iPhone model. iPhone 4 - A4. iPhone 5 - A5.

Possibly just coincidence, the iPad 2 uses the A5.

It's just coincidence. They didn't start making their own chips until they had a reason to do so, so it makes sense that they're in line with each other.

Based on the chip A5 size of 10.1 x 12.1 mm, can someone here with Photoshop calculate the size of the screen of this thing in the picture? you can see the half point over the speaker hole and calculate from there. But if I can calculate by hand, this is not much bigger screen than the current one. I am calculating a 5.262 centimeters in width which is the same as the current one screen of the 3GS.

Who cares. Just read where AT&T is delaying the release of the "iphone killer" SGS2 until maybe November?
Oh gee...death star delaying something in hopes the iPhone5 hits the store sooner. Heck, when you walk into a corporate store, it's almost like walking into an Apple store anyway. If they had their way, they would probably just sell the iStuff and the heck with the rest.
I'm holding out for another 4.5 to 5" or larger screen phone so when my streak dies, I can get something with a similar sized screen.

Not all of us need to over-compensate, though. Plus, you WILLINGLY have a Dell, so you automatically are disqualified.

Android is pitting their 1.5ghz dual cores vs Apple's 1ghz dual core. 4.5inch 720p vs 4inch retina and LTE vs 3G. iOS is going to fall under 20% marketshare in this next year.
people are going to tell me I'm wrong but Android is already over 50% global marketshare so yes specs do matter (plz note WP and BB also have multiple phones but with lower specs).

Photo's of gut's are all interesting and stuff but what I want is a feature list.
not that it' really matters anyway. I'm going to be forced to buy an iphone 5 because my 3gs is at the end of the road. I'm very apple hardware frugal I always skip many version's before I buy.

Only thing fishy about this is that the proximity sensor at the top looks like early iterations of the white iPhone 4, that we then didn't see for months. Whereas the release one didn't have such a 'grid-like' look to it. Hopefully this pans out to be true though! looks sweet!

Edge-to-edge display doesn't necessarily mean bigger display. I think it's more likely to mean the same size display but a smaller casing.
