Who's Got Batman's Mask and Catwoman's Outfit?

I never saw the Halle Berry Catwoman movie because everyone said it was horrible. But Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman... wow!

I'm one of those people who actually enjoyed all of the Batman movies to varying degrees. I'm old enough to remember when the '89 film was released. I loved it. I liked its sequel. I saw all of the other films before Batman Begins. They were all cheesy on various levels, but I didn't hate them. I was more into the comics and the 90s cartoon than the movies, although I saw all of them multiple times. Of course, the last three films are in a different class altogether. The previous statement is purposefully ambiguous. I meant it in a positive way, but we all have our personal tastes. But once again, I did not despise any of the older films of the modern era. Could I have done without George and Arnold? Sure, but I didn't storm out of the theatre demanding a refund either. I knew what I was paying for before I ever took my seat: campy, cartoonish, 60s style action scenes, with bad puns sprinkled here and there.

Really? Is the Smithsonian museum just not worthy of props from higher-quality film series? Are they going to absolutely NEED all 500 replicas of Harry Potter's glasses used throughout 8 completed films, now that no sequels are going to happen? Is Bane's mask (TDKR Bane) just too big to fit in the exhibit? Would a Sting prop from The Hobbit just be better off in the Missouri History Museum? WB, this is low. You may as well just tell the Smithsonian to F off.

I_LIKE_TURTLES.
I always thought it was ridiculous that in every Batman movie since Returns, they made the cowl look like the actor's face. It kind of defeats the purpose of hiding one's identity.
blankg58.
II always thought it was ridiculous that every Batman movie since Returns, they didn't burn all copies and killed all people involved.
TheFalloutFella.
Extreme don't you think. B&R was bad but it's already caused enough heartbreak. Killing won't fix that.
006charizard.
It's not about the heartbreak, it's about sending a message.
Lightbringer-XIII.
it's too send a message to prevent another such crisis
TheDodgerHatKid.
I'm sorry. I can't say I hate Batman & Robin. I loved that movie as a kid. It was the first movie I was really hyped for. I'm just glad that I grew up at the right time to be a Batman fan. Forver/B&R as a kid and the Dark Knight trilogy as an adult.
belmont418.
I was 12 when that came out and I thought it was bad
sharkpaul.
That's too harsh. Joel Schumacher's the REAL CULPRIT.
Dante47.
Not in Batman Begins. It was more or less modeled to be intimidating, not exactly modeled after the actor.
I_LIKE_TURTLES.
In "Designing the Batsuits" short, the costume designer said they modeled the Begins cowl to channel the angst of Bruce - to look like an exaggerated version of him rather than to mask his features.

Costume pieces from the worst takes of Batman and Catwoman donated to the museum. I guess Warner Bros is trying to get rid everything that stinks of failure. Whats next, the computer used to generate Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern costume.
WanderinRaider.
No, they just donated Ryan Reynolds, the movie would of been better with just the costume.

I prefer the Michael Keaton's suits instead. Or moreover, the Bale's suits.
TheFalloutFella.
As much as I love Nolan's movies and Bale's Batman I think Keaton's batsuit in the first movie is by far the most intimidating and badass.
006charizard.
This takes the cake for me. I like the Keaton one too, but having the bat symbol all black instead of that yellow makes him all the more terrifying.
TheFalloutFella.
Yeah the symbol was a bit on the nose. But that's more of a trade off of being faithful to the comic book elements at the time they made the film.
sharkpaul.
The only drawback of Keaton's was the immovability of the neck, in which Nolan's team remedied it big time.
FredrickHardy.
I remember being in the Cinema and the panning shot of TDKR of Bale in his suit on the building the whole audience laughed..
sharkpaul.
My apologies but the Bale's suits were the closest Bat costume I really see personally in a convention in my place. But nevertheless, any suit but SCHUMACHER's!
Thribs.
Don't compare Catwoman with Batman and Robin. Catwoman is bad on an all different level!
umbreon888.
Agreed. Batman and Robin was terrible but at least it's entertainingly terrible. But Catwoman just made me want to jump off a building and pray while falling that cats won't revive me when I hit the ground.
TheFalloutFella.
Batman and Robin was a better love story than Twilight. I could feel Batman's angst as he was about to lose Robin to Poison Ivy. Poor Bats.
sharkpaul.
I just like the OST (The end is the beginning is the end).
sharkpaul.
"Bad on all different level!" Oh really. At least, Catwoman's costume no "nipples" on her, unlike Alicia's Batgirl.
therunningchief.
I love the schumacher films. Obviously they are the worst batman movies, but they are hilarious. I always felt that they are a big budget version of the Adam west series, full of campy charm.
Hendrix5757.
I think that was exactly what he was going for! Just look how colorful those films are.
AGNT009.
And even in 100 years from now, little kids will look at that Catwoman costume and say "WTF were they thinking?" just as we did.
DeviantSpy.
"George Clooney in Batman & Robin, Warners' other greatest comic book movie ever made after Catwoman." This was a joke?

I am really, really hoping it was. 'Cause otherwise, the writer of this article needs help. Fast.

Agreed, donating is not enough. We need to burn this atrocity from Batman and Robin.
notoriousmakvel.
Over here is the cowl from the worst batman movie.
Chris_936320.
burn em
cobiwegner.
Don't worry we will see Dark Knight trilogy in there soon
SuperJPM2.
Who on Earth would want any of those things.
waroftheworlds01.
That would be the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Did you not read the first sentence?
SuperJPM2.
Freaking ownage!!! My question was rhetorical, seeing as the "stuff" I was referring to included Halle Berry's Catwoman costume.
BrothaDoug.
I liked all the Batman movies.
Thribs.
Same here. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
SeniorCitizen.
Now why would they put those items in a museum? I would've chosen a furnace.
KNIGHTWHOSAIDNEE25.
That belongs in a museum!!!! nope, couldent say that with a straight face, nazis you can have this s***
Newjackswing.
This sir, wins the interwebs. If ur comment had a cult following, I would shave my head and wear the robe.
Devils_Advocate22289.
I won't lie, I read the title and went straight to the comments expecting a backlash because the words "Geekdom's treasures" and "Clooney's cowl and Halle Berry's Cat Mask" were in the same sentence.
Nickuncaged.
I love Batman and Robin........not because it's a good movie. But because it is so funny to watch. Almost like it hits that magic point on the movie quality spectrum where it goes so far beyond terrible that it somehow comes back to being good again.
GreenFigMan.
Warner Bros totally phoned it in with these donations.

I guess Warner bros doesn't think much of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American history. you have to wonder what the thought process was behind giving those pieces of dc movie history.
jayman109.
Halle Berry was such a slutty catwoman.
VirgilX00.
You would think they would have burned the outfits of Halle Berry's Catwoman and George Clooney's Batman
WanderinRaider.
I think thats why they donated them to a museum, so that somebody doesn't just buy them to burn.
sowersdude.
Batman and Robin is better than Batman Forever.
LuxoIII.
Agreed. It's at least...funner to watch (?) I have an easier time watching those now that we have the Nolan movies. It's fun to just look back and laugh.
sowersdude.
Exactly.

Batman forever has the worst written plot out of any batman movie ever, but the movie overall is better than B&R
sowersdude.
Man, I don't even know what's happening in Forever. At least B&R has that Alfred subplot, or whatever.
scuderiarmani.
Fags, I'd take that Catwoman costume and put the lady in that anyday!
oldkingcole37.
It's too bad that you had to start this comment off with an insensitive, offensive, homophobic slang term because I thought the second part of it was pretty funny.
moderniraqi.
Yeah, honestly tge only redeeming part of the movie was how hot Halle looked in that suit
