Am I the only one who thinks of the original Nintendo when I see their logo?

Elin Blesener · Top Commenter · San Francisco, California
Nope.

Watch them sue Google over search now.

Is this in response to HP buying Autonomy?

Antidot Corp
After Microsoft buying Fast, Dassault buying Exalead and this year HP buying Autonomy, the market of search engine and information access solutions is still concentrating...
It is not surprising: search engine technologies are now a key software technology to provide easy access to relevant information extracted from huge corporate datawarehouses... and the wave of semantic web standards like RDF / OWL / SKOS / SPARQL to dramatically increase information value is ahead!

Will be interesting to see if Oracle use this to foray into enterprise search.

Oops..Endeca is front ending Hybris in US and Hybris is a competitor to ATG...

Ravi Linganuri · Bangalore, India
Interesting.. Endeca partnered with Hybris to enhance their sales channel in North American region.. Now with ATG Commerce being part of Oracle, it is quite an attack on Hybris.

Pierre Col · Directeur Marketing at Antidot
Any idea of the amount of the deal?

Fred Bement · Pine Bush High School
Endeca's been stuck between $75MM - $100MM for the last 5 years, and they've turned over their sales team as many times. They weren't headed to $250MM/annum any time soon. Microsoft paid $1.2BN for FAST (a premium, for certain) to get Bing going. I wonder what kind of bargain Oracle got?
