Despite Apple’s Efforts, Motorola Wants To Keep The Patent Battle Going

Tom Losh
I'm typing this on a MacBook while listening to Pandora via my Googorola phone (Motorola XPRT running 2.2.2 Android). Hard to tell which way to lean. This time, though, I'm rooting for Googorola, as I believe Apple is hurting the industry, market, other manufacturers, and the public much more than is warranted - or at the very least, more than I can support in good conscience.

Patent wars are scary...this means...extraordinary people with great vision +no financial support can only be ordinary....

Uh, oh. Apple, Google and lawsuits all mentioned in a single article. I predict imminent nerd rage...

It's fair to say that it was Apple who started a proxy war against Google by going after their Android partners in the Open Handset Alliance. With Google's impending acquisition of Motorola the search giant gets a chance to return the favor and attack Apple by proxy through Motorola.
