My, what a horrible and cheap skin. Please Google, save us. It makes the phone look COMPLETELY unattractive to me. The UI is supposed to make the phone look better, not worse.

I think it's an LCD, since this is a cheap phone. Usually, when it's an AMOLED, they say it, since it's considered a stand-out feature.

If someone is going to spend the big bucks on a Verizon contract and data, then they should be looking at DROID Bionic or DROID 3, not cheapo phones that save 10% over the life of the contract in exchange for much less functionality and ability to take advantage of mobile data.

Please, what is something you can do on the Droid 3 or Droid Bionic that you can't do with the Breakout?
If I were buying a phone, yes, I'm down for the high end device because I'm a tech fan, but there are those who would rather spend the 10% elsewhere.

My wife got the Pantech Crossover for AT&T. It's great because she didn't need a full on beastly Android device, nor did she want to sacrifice the tactile QWERTY keyboard. The Pantech was the only entry-level Android that didn't suck. It has decent performance and battery life. I'm glad to see Pantech starting to move into the Android market with these phones.

This phone is pretty much on par with the Charge and Tbolt but a LOT cheaper if you're getting it from the store.
I don't see why you would get the Tbolt or Charge if its going to cost at least $100 more.

Personally, I don't miss the scores at all. There's a lot fewer comments now asking for the scores back versus the amount of garbage we used to get complaining that something scored too high or too low, especially versus [insert Apple product here].
There was also almost no information in the scores. 8/10 for almost everything, with lower scores for lower end models. You can get the same quick impression just by skimming the conclusion at the end of the review.

I don't miss the idiotic fanboy comments, but I miss the scores themselves. It was a quick way to sum up the device's utility, especially when you don't want to read the entire review. The pros and cons list is not comprehensive enough.

This is probably one of the most well budgeted phones.. Ever. Sure, it has plenty of bloatware, and a potentially bad android skin, but spec wise it's still good as a mid range phone, and 4g! All for the price of a low end phone.

I'm not "willing to forgive" but I'm saying the price is based on bloatware. Basically like an ad supported phone. I wouldn't buy it. Also, android can always be hacked

Yes, money is so worthless that it is just "numbers on a paper." I will gladly dispose of your "numbers on a paper" for you. Please send it to POBOX 432 Money River Street, S.F. CA.
If you're going to criticize people at least have the guts to use the actual term instead of trying to belittle it as if it was worthless.

Oh huh. That's more understandable. But you seem to forget, anyone who comments here is a geek and a geek would probably root their phones. Ergo, they would probably delete the bloatware.
Even though the android skin may be bad, I am firmly in the camp that the default android skin is also pretty bad. Two shortcuts on the bottom? Folders don't sort alphabetically and can't be resorted? GENIUS!

Im all for people getting a phone with super fast speeds but I feel like if its a 4G phone then that kinda screams to me some sort of high end and it should have a flash on it. Nice price point for people though

This phone is confusing and can't figure out what it wants to be.
On one hand it's a 4G phone that has a smaller screen and a cheaper price than the latest 4G Android phones. On the other hand this phone has a single core and has a weak battery.
If someone wants a dumbed down smart phone...then why do they need 4G service that eats up the battery? That is like selling someone a car that they will only use to drive to work but installing a turbo booster on it.
I'm sorry but a weak battery on a portable device is an instant deal breaker for me. The reviewer mentions that you need to carry a charger to get thru the day and that is the last thing I want to do. A slow phone with a weak battery isn't exactly the best sales pitch I've heard today.

Weak battery on an device is a deal breaker for you? I guess every android phone isn't good enough for you then. Also, it's more like buying a car that gets not the best mileage, but has turbo charge, and is fast, but costs as much as a used car..

So Verizon gets a Pantech phone while Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile are offering top of the line SGSII phones. Hahahaha, I feel sorry for Verizon customers. 4G LTE isn't as even amazing as they claim to be, it drains the battery life like no other, and they cap you data, so it doesn't even matter how fast it is, if you can't use it to it's full potential.

Are you kidding?!?! 4G LTE is BETTER than it claims to be! Verizon claims to get 5-12 Mbps down, but I get 32 Mbps. THIRTY-TWO MEGABITS-PER-SECOND!!! I'd like to see someone get that on Sprint, AT&T, or T-Mobile...

Most people with a smartphone on Verizon still have unlimited data, and I happen to be one of them. So I get 32 Mbps uncapped, and unthrottled.
