Dear Paul Disney IV--why don't you try coming up with something like that in a few hours? Try not to be bitter especially when it is so easy to criticize.

Weak offering. This had the potential to be really nice, but the comments and photo titles within the timeline do not reflect the characters. Little things like tagging the old photos of Don as Dick Whitman or something like that would've made this feel more custom and less like a hack job. It doesn't feel polished.
Great concept, poor execution. Of course, I'm only referring only to this clip, not the product itself which looks red hot.

His "alternative name" at the top is Dick Whitman though

There are a lot of nods to the events of the show within the timeline. I think its great.

I disagree, I think Leist did a great job balancing tasteful nods to different plot points in the series and humorous digs at the characters. While this is a highly acclaimed series, it would be remiss of fans to not laugh at a sometimes overly serious drama. The video is funny while illustrating the exact appeal of Facebook Timeline.

Draper also pitches Lucky Strikes as an essential part of life and delivering an unparalleled flavor experience. Be careful buying what he's selling!

Can Don Draper present the iPhone 5 next week, please? Nothing personal against Tim Cook, but, you know... it's freakin' Draper, man.

Facebook is all about copying features from here and there, latest TIME LINE features was copied from Indian Startup. http://www.pluggd.in/indian-startup-lifeblob-accuses-facebook-of-copying-its-feature-297/

...that's from 2010, and is about them claiming they invented "related photos" as a feature. That's just silly. Any social networking platform would independently "invent" that as soon as they had an algorithm for related anything.

I have an app inside Facebook which is pretty much what Facebook Music + Spotify combined is now (in some ways better). My team and I made that 5-6 months ago. Should I accuse them too?

Why not have Pete come up with Facebook independently? He discovered direct marketing on his own, after all.
Nice nod to Jimmy Barrett, my favorite guest character on the show.

in my opinion facebook is like taking your clothes of in public and this new "feature/app" or what ever is just another way of letting people know more about u this means more stalkers, this app is more like a stalkers paradise http://radiomobiletech.com/blogposts/facebook-finds-a-way-to-trace-life-stories.html according to this article Timeline will provide everybody to know about interesting experiences about others’ lives. which I think is absurd.

I sent the original "Carousel" clip to a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. He was developing a "Timeline" concept for Facebook. Too bad he didn't see it 6 months ago. He may have out-Timelined Facebook.
It is still one of my favourite Mad Men scenes.

Blog archives packaged as a user service, when in reality the only people who care will be either trying to sell you something or trying to disqualify you from a job offer. I don't think so.
