See everyone keeps asking if there will be a Cameo in this but it's such a stupid question. Obviously there will be if the show is big. If this show is going to be a huge hit and go for multiple seasons, I'm sure there will be a 2-episode storyline like for example a season 2 episode 7-8 has Bruce Banner show up for the story because the SHIELD guys chased them into that path. There's no way Marvel would pass up that obvious ratings grabber if it gets picked up.

as long as there's cameos from super heroes and super villains, lessser knowns would be even better or thug type villains too, then I'm happy with whatever the result is. However, if joss Whedon is involved, and it a tv series, then you know it will be amazing but then for some reason get canceled in favor of some garbage

Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous, really. Here we're supposed to be in the modern, sensible age of comics as opposed to all those cheesy plot contrivances in the 90's, and just in the past couple of years Thor has died and come back about two or three times, then the Human Torch, and now Peter Parker. Sort of. Aren't they ever going to do a permanent death? I'm not really complaining because I wanted all those people back, but one wonders what the point was of killing them in the first place.

they managed to keep Thor dead for 3 or 4 years last decade. I was impressed they had that kind of patience. Then again Jean Grey's been dead for around 10 years at this point.

Not anymore, thanks to All-New X-Men. But that is a terrific book, and a time-traveling younger Jean Grey is a lot better than the older Jean resurrected for the forty-seventh time.

Honestly... and I'm sure you probably know this already, but they want people who don't read the book to hear all the hoopla about the character dying and then 'one year later' the intrigue and media sensation of them coming back. Death is big business!

That is why independant comics like Walking Dead and Witchblade are so much better then DC or Marvel. Characters tend to stay dead in those epic comics, and they still do great long after they are dead and rotting.

Well there are tons of theory's of how he survived. The one that I found most likely is that fury lied that he actually died to give the avengers something to avenge

We did not see a dead body being put in the ground or cremated, therefore the body was not dead. Comics rule. And even then, you have to check that the body wasn't some sort of duplicate to throw you off. All we saw is Coulson take a major wound and pass out. Then Fury make up a story about his death and thrown bloody cards from Coulson's locker at Cap. This is basically the comics version of saying that a character is "listed as day to day and will not be in next issue."

They made a mistake killing coulson and have altered his death scene in the UK release of the movie, they removed loki's spear prodruding from his chest, which would make it more believable he survived

No everyone was pissed Coulson died and then the new series comes along and the fan favorite was brought back to life This makes it a lot better because Loki's spear was coming right out his chest very close to his heart he wouldn't of survived So they edited the scene to remove it from his chest which makes it look like he was just seriously injured

They really should have cast two unknowns in those roles, particularly with Hawkeye. It wouldn't have hurt avengers and it could have been a real plus for the TV show.

Totally understand that Whedon wants people to love it on its own. The movie cast is sooo overpaid that we will probably never see any of them in the show. Wonder if they can afford SLJs voice; old school Charlie's Angels style!

This man has imagination, brilliance in writing and most importantly 'heart'. I have enjoyed and felt the same amount of joy from most of his works. But he only had a strong but few followers, which lead to the cancellations of many of his shows. Thank god for Avengers. He is finally getting the spotlight he deserves. Now, if only he could Assemble the Firefly cast....

Personally, I think that this is a great opportunity to explore more lesser known villains, who are never going to get screentime in the movies. The MCU comics showed that The Leader is in SHIELD custody - I'd love to see Tim Blake Nelson return as Mr Blue, as it's unlikely we'll see another Hulk film in the near future

I don't think the issue is necessarily "paying the actor"... the issue is the cost to do the CGI for each of Hulk's appearances. You don't need to show Banner in order to drop the Hulk into an episode.
