Zynga Unleashed event introduces Castle ville and project
Zynga’s CastleVille Crosses 5M Daily Active Users, Now Growing Faster Than CityVille | TechCrunch
@Max Woolf
That's mostly because of the already-high install base from Farmville, not because of its quality.
@Mista Majani
Sour grapes are sour.
@Chris Acky
"Pincus also reported to have threatened to cull most player's animals and destroy existing crops in Farmville if users don't give back credits they received when first joining the game".
@Jae Lee
thiel is right, maybe innovation is dead....
@Christopher Baiamonte
Innovation is overrated, victory goes to the tweakers. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2011/11/14/111114fa_fact_gladwell
@Seth Eheart
Too cartoony for me. If they would have made it a little more serious I would be addicted. I'm sure I'm in the minority though. People tend to like big eyes and shiny shit.
@Stan Idesis
Someone from my alma mater... I just graduated this past may and am working at Zynga, this article showed up in our daily news and now I'm here commenting on your post, small internet world :)
@John Mallo
How do you get more castle in castleville?
@Celia Poon
You get more royal buildings.
@Brian Vermette
Yeah not a surprise. Basically what you have here is a new Zynga game that has only one way to go, up. It makes it debate with high traffic with people wanting to play it for the first time. But if its like every other Zynga game, the game will get less and less popular over time. But for me personally who use to play FarmVille and several of the others, the only way I will play FarmVille again is if I own a copy of the game like I do with EA's SimCity 4 on the PC and Nintendo Wii games. I'm not going to put my time and money into a game I don't own and that will someday be gone. I find can find better things to do considering I'm been Zynga free for 21 days and counting. Angry Birds anyone...
