We had a great loss to Malayalam industry this year: Praveena 2011 In Tech: A Year Of Great Losses | TechCrunch
@Narayan Babu
Damn! So sad.
@David Mast
Jobs will get all the headlines, but the rest, McCarthy, Ritchie, Morris, these guys are legends, and though their works lives on, they will be missed.
@Ciarán Norris
Lovely effort to highlight the fact that the tech industry was built by countless people, rather than the 3 or 4 who get all the headlines. Kudos & RIP all.
@Joseph Cohen
nice post
@Michael Murdock
Thanks for sharing this list folks. Steve is to some the most remembered. There are others there who made their mark as well and even he'd be one to admit that without Ritchie that much would not be. Good post. like to see this get shared everywhere.
@Youssef Sarhan
RIP guys, see you on the other side! :)
@Gique Gear
Very nice to recognize people for their life's work. Good job, I hope their families find their way to this.
@Sara Conrad
Nice write up Robin. Too many great ones.
@Akhsar Kharebov
yah that does seem like a lot of important people in one year, but maybe this happens every year (excluding Jobs). Can someone make this analysis for 2010 or 2009? I think it is worthy to mention of these people for their contributions - a tech obituary.
@Devin Coldewey
And, though it's not tech related, Christopher Hitchens died just yesterday. All will be missed.
@Héctor Medina
R.I, P, great people whose work wil be remain for many years more.
@Jenukshan Colombas
As we near the end of 2011, we'd like to stop and remember some of tech industry greats who have passed this year. Rest In Peace, and thank you.
@Felix Sulla
Thanks for reminding us of these great people. It was an honor being their contemporary.
@마징가
