Sony Tablet S1 Review

Sony Tablet S1 Review Sony Tablet S Review: Slick, But Somewhat Slow | TechCrunch
@Simon Cohen
Jordan, with all due respect, this review is more than a little late to the party and off the mark on a few items to-boot. The remote function works really well? Compared to what? It doesn't do macros and can't be used blind as you look at your TV and it doesn't pair with Sony's PS3 despite having Bluetooth baked right in. Playstation games with soft, on-screen controls are not enjoyable at all. You can't access files directly from the SD card - they need to be copied to the device first. (who's idea was that?) I'll give you the folded design part - I think it's the only thing Sony really brought to the tablet game.
@Karen Chapelle
So true Simon!
@Andy Beal
I may pick one up...once it drops to $99! :-P
@Chris Domico
Another Android tablet being barfed out to the general public, another dud.
@Will Vinci Tran
Sony is going bankrupt soon.
@Alexander Corbett
What's the weight?
@Peter Austin
598g : just 3g less than the iPad2 http://www.sony.co.uk/product/sony-tablet-s/tab/editorialarticle2 http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
@Thomas Anderson
Needs to be $250.
@Christopher Burns
I played around with one of these while looking for a tablet myself, and read a few of the reviews too. While this tablet does have some nice features, especially Playstation certification, what most reviews I read don't tell you is that it feels like a plasticky kid's toy - the build quality feels really, really terrible, and that's possibly where the £50 lower RRP is compared to e.g. the Samsung Tabs. After playing with both of them, I went for the Galaxy Tab 8.9 instead.
