Social Media in Plain English

Steven Kleine · Principal at Ensomo
I have to agree that this post, and every recent post on Radian6 reads like a press release. There are dozens of other tools out there that offer more functionality and a better user experience. Last I checked you could only view 25 results at a time and their sentiment analysis got it wrong most of the time. The results would be filled with irrelevant results. You can manually delete them or change the sentiment, but if you are a large brand or personality with thousands of mentions a day it is impossible to keep up. A "real" news story on Radian6 would be if they upped their analysis algorithms to keep up with the likes of Social Radar, Crimson Hexagon and the many other tools that deliver accurate results and deep analysis of the data.

If you were a user and not a competitor this comment would have much more credibility. I count on seeing companies that are competitors comment on a TC article. It is quite predictable. Not surprisingly I have never seen a commentor say that the competitor has a great product even though they likely often do.

This is an incredibly glowing piece - has the TC team checked out Salesforce's claims?

Sounds far fetched but I expect IBM have already looked into buying Salesforce or another CRM tool - yes expensive but with Salesforce they get 2 things they don't have (CRM & Social) in the Marketing Stack - they have already bought Unica, Coremetrics etc. and have a big presence in Cloud Tech.

This piece sounds like Fox News reporting on the GOP. Where's the unbiased information? Waste of time...

Responding to customers in a CRM tool is not considered #insights <--- Buzzword.
