Samsung Galaxy Note vs Galaxy Tab 7.7 vs Galaxy S2 4G vs Galaxy S2 No Ice Cream Sandwich For Galaxy S And Galaxy Tab, Says Samsung | TechCrunch
@Stefan Lange
another reason why android sucks.
@Jay Zalowitz
No, it is a reason samsung's touchwiz UI sucks, they assume all of us are baseline consumers instead of giving us a option...
@Claudio Martins
another reason why the android ecosystem sucks, not the OS itself...
@Artyom Khramtsov
Here the video of ICS running on Galaxy Tab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APySajpmUJU. Samsung is the Evil and Apple must kill it!
@Rory Jewell
That's an interesting comment considering Samsung makes the A5 for Apple.
@Artyom Khramtsov
Rory Jewell Apple created A5, not Samsung. It doesn't matter who actually makes it.
@Cheapink Cartridges
nice video really your video give the great idea which one is better

that's the problem with Android... where are the Android fans to defend their system now? [do not come here with BS saying 'i can install a custom rom' - let's just talk about the average user].
@Samantha Michael
How many updates do you get on your 3 year old phone? Even if you do get them still get them on what ever device you have (I will not speculate) how well dose the new software run on your very outdated hardware. There comes a time when every device stops getting updates from official channels. However your custom rom comment will still hold true. There are many roms that are one click and it installs everything you need in a installation wizard just like if you were to install any other piece of software on your home system.
@Matt Weldon
Samantha Michael the Galaxy tab is barely ONE YEAR OLD. iOS 5 runs great on the iPhone 4...
@Claudio Martins
Samantha Michael with what you say, all Android phones are born already outdated... iPhone 3GS (2 years and half old) is still updatable to iOS5 and yes, it runs great. Samsung Galaxy S was released when? a little less than a year and half ago, right? and CAN'T be updated? seriously? this happens with EVERY single Android phone. it just sucks that these manufactures leave their customers with outdated software forcing them to buy a new device model. and NO, custom ROM is NOT an option for the average user. forget about you and me, we are hardcore users, we know how to do that, and mainly, we are not afraid of doing it. most users are afraid of even doing the default update process and brick their phones. I have been convincing many people on the last few weeks to update their iPhones to iOS5, and some are still afraid of it, though it's a very easy process...
@David Thomas
The problem is not Android, the problem is Samsung.
@Samantha Michael
Claudio Martins the hardware and proto type was made in 4th Q of 2009 the announcement was made in may 2010 and the release was Sept 2010 to Matt and Claudio, so I will give you 2 years. But, even 2 year old hardware on computers is outdated and most "new drivers" for it are just prepacked drivers that don't do anything for the old versions of the hardware. It's just easier to release one file that will update all. Claudio, you say its hard to install a ROM, but some people do take the time to have a self installing wizard. Plug in to computer click next. The people that are afraid to update will not, that is there choice. No matter what platform they are running on. To bash an entire community because you just don't like something that acts similar to something you do like is just silly. The fact is simply every platform has pros and cons. Blackberry has its security but lack of apps, Apple has its Siri software but lack of customization, Google has its customization but lack of apparently long term updates from the manufacturer (however the updates are not decided by Google at all and instead are made by the respective company's that make the phone; Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, LG, etc.) And I'm sure other other "smart" phone OS's have something else to offer but I can not think of anything.
@Claudio Martins
Samantha Michael I never said a single word about the OS, but by the way the manufacturer handle the device's updates... using your same logic we could say that the iPhone 3GS' specs are 3 years old or more, right? or maybe Apple is just too awesome to build a prototype and build all devices for sale just a month before release date. come on.
@Claudio Martins
Samantha Michael BTW, I DO think Google should have forced the manufacturers to update the device's OS for at least the next two major releases. but with all the 'let's be open' mantra they can't force that...
@Samantha Michael
Claudio Martins That's all this article is talking about, the OS. That all the update is, an OS update. I don't know anyone who updates there hardware on a phone. The point of what I said is Google has no say in it. Its not "Androids" fault of Samsung, LG, etc. do not want to put the time into updating devices. The reason Apple can put out new OS updates that work for older phones is simply they only have to make like 4 versions of it. They control the hardware and software like there computers. No one can make a device that runs it with out a law suit. Android makes the OS then opens it to the public for use. There are hundreds of different hardware configurations that the software must adapt to. It would simply be to much for one company to release one OS for them all and if they did it would take years of patching to make it stable (case in point Microsoft windows). I never said Apple, blackberry, or android is bad. You are the one jumping to that. All I said is your attacking something that has nothing to do with the issue in this article. You are atacking android when you should be atacking Samsung. Samsung will not make a new update for there older devices. However, Google will, the Nexus S (its a galaxy S phone with the same hardware) will get the update except it was funded by Google so Google is going to make an update for it. I am sure some one (if not Google them selves) will make an easy to install update for the other ones as well since it is the same hardware. Sure it wont be an "official" update but, as always, the people who want the update will have it.
@Claudio Martins
Samantha Michael you should read what I wrote again.
@Samantha Michael
Claudio Martins "that's the problem with Android", "I never said a single word about the OS" (android is the OS), "BTW, I DO think Google should have forced the manufacturers to update the device's OS" to which i replied to with, " There are hundreds of different hardware configurations that the software must adapt to. It would simply be to much for one company to release one OS for them all and if they did it would take years of patching to make it stable (case in point Microsoft windows)." I believe that covers what you wanted me to read?
@Joe Bendezú
its a lagdroid...
@Brian Daniels
Wow! Very clever. Steve would be so proud. Truth be told though, the guy who is your icon image was kind of a horses ass, as humans go. Ask Siri. She'll tell you.
@Tim Bowen
android rules! Samsung sucks!
@Claudio Martins
every android device/manufacturer has the same problem...
@Rustam Gaifullin
I'm running ICS on my Galaxy S....without touchwiz of course, and it works fine.
@David Abraham
This is how Google seriously handicapped the smartphone era by unleashing Android in such a lowest common denominator way.
@Rob McClure
What the hell do you mean "lowest common denominator way."?
@Mike Barriault
That doesn't look too bad at all. Performance seems comparable to my old iPhone 3G just after iOS 4 came out.
@Joe Michels
This is one of the biggest problems for Android and it is a serious one. As an app developer, the iOS platform is superior because I can count on Apple to support their latest devices, and older ones as well. I get the feeling that Samsung could care less about apps on Android. Not to pick on Samsung only; this is a system wide issue for Android. I believe that Microsoft will be tailing a large chunk of market from Android.
@Frank Guillen
The real problem is that Samsung has sooooo many flavors of the same phone that they can't waist months creating customized upgrades for all those S, Y, M, Mini or whatever they add to make a difference among hundreds of devices.
@Frank Guillen
Tha'ts the reason a lot people prefer to spend hours in line waiting for a decent smartphone, it may not be a Samsung Monster Phone, but at least my iPhone 3GS is still upgradeable, Sorry Samsung fans, Android ICS is not for you.. buy another phone or tweak it yourself to remove the junk Samsung has been packing inside the Galaxy Family....
