Stream TV Networks Introduces Ultra-D: Glasses-Free 3D Conversion Tech | TechCrunch
@John S. Wilson
Excellent. Looking forward to what they have. LG has a 2D to 3D conversion embedded in their smart TVs. It works great. However you still need to use the glasses, but since they're passive you can still multitask with them on.
@Michael Kraus
does not using the glasses put extra strain on the eyes?

I've always been wary of 2d to 3d conversion, because it doesn't seem like it will ever look that great. Though if they make it easy enough, it could serve as a supplement until true 3d becomes more popular. However, smart television seems like the avenue for right now. Is Google going to make a 3d version of Google TV?
@Colin Hill
To get 3D, you need two images - one for each eye or it's not 3D. 2D-3D can never look good. You can do something with two 2D versions "out of syncbut that only works if the image is in motion.
@Chandrabalu Venugopal
Excellent if it works. Will it not put too much strain on the eyes?
