Good idea in theory, but I don't know how many people are willing to carry around a phone and a controller the same size in their pockets. A company released the same thing for the iPhone, but it never caught on. http://www.icontrolpad.com/
I think it would be great for the home or the car (i.e. for kids). Not as useful for iOS devices since you're not allowed to run emulators, but this basically transforms your android phone into a Gameboy Advance, portable Genesis, Super Nintendo, etc.

This has serious possibilities combined with things like Atari's classics line. Or even those emulators provided they're used legally. :)

I've been using and highly recommend the http://www.icontrolpad.com/ - Same idea, done better.

That other one was only a rubber cover for the keyboard of an original motodroid.

Must also recommend the iControlPad (http://www.icontrolpad.com/). It seems questionable that the Gametel will ever sell or ship in time for Christmas; we're *really* close now! And Nov/Dec is not a good time release, much less announce such a product.
The iControlPad does more, supports all the games that the Gametel does, and can also emulate a mouse/keyboard, joystick or gamepad which you can use in combination with a desktop or laptop PC.
It's a much better all round product, and although the iControlPad isn't the prettiest thing in the world, it works, it supports iOS and it's available now. It'll even emulate an iCade and let you play a whole host of games on a non-jailbroken iPhone.
