mmm... Why do you promote Virgin Atlantic as the lead company in this article? It is not 'them' (ie Virgin) who are re-purposing waste material. It is LanzaTech. It is not Virgin and LanzaTech who are collecting these gases at source. It is LanzaTech. What Virgin are doing is trialling the new fuel in their aircraft.

I do not want to be precious about this, but credit needs to go to the right people. LanzaTech have developed the technology here in new Zealand and are trialling it now at a local steel mill. It is a significant technological development which has little to do with Virgin. To Virgin's credit, they are taking on the risk of commercial trials.

It's a joint venture with Virgin providing the cash and global reach. That's just as important as the engineering work, and at any rate the investment and sponsorship is the news being announced. It's a partnership, as the first sentence says, and throughout Virgin is referred to as promoting or spreading the tech created by LanzaTech.

Devin Coldewey We're just a bit touchy here in NZ when people don't give us enough credit :)

Excellent. On top of everything, a Kiwi underdog startup gets an opportunity of a lifetime.
