What's weird/stupid is that when you click the images on this page, it takes you to another page, when you click the image on that page it opens in a lightbox. WTHeck? All it'd cost to get a decent same-page gallery is about $250 to $350.

Nathan J. Brauer Ha! I didn't even notice the lightbox on the other page. It is a little surprising one of the largest tech blogs doesn't have something so simple. It could be implemented in a day and improve the UX.

"but the iPhone 5 isn’t exactly a well-guarded secret anymore".
Then why don't you have any concrete evidence. You don't know if there is going to be 1 model or 2 models, whether it will be called iPhone 5 or iPhone 4s, or even if there will be two different form factors. Everyone is just guessing.

Could this just a ploy by CaseMate to get some viewers looking at their cases? I thought Apple held off sharing the specs of the iPhone 4 with case vendors?
Also - take a look at your last sentence. Some typos in there.

Apple always shares dimensions with case manufacturers, and it's my understanding that the more reputable, 1st tier care manufacturers (like Case Mate) are actually given an empty shell.
My guess is that this is 100% legit. Plus, the page was already pulled.

The new iPhone looks exactly like the old iPhone. I don't care about how it looks because of that. Specs people! SPECS! Does it have a camera that handles low-light conditions better? Dual core? More RAM? New apps?

Who knows, maybe they know it's close enough to the announce date, so they'll just *ahem* accidentally put those out there and let things ride.
The design looks fine, but all of these rumors are driving some of us up the wall, wish they'd release it already.

It shows a name moniker of "iPhone 5", an aluminum back, tapered design, silence switch on the lens side (possibly to double as a camera button?), and on the first picture a slim angle of the front showing a much higher earpiece (possibly compensating for a larger screen). But, yeah not much else.
