Chrome Web Store Publisher Forum

Of course 'developer activity just isn’t growing at the same rate as it is on the Android Marketplace'.
I am a chrome app dev, and I want to launch a paid app (the app is pretty good IMO) but I CAN'T! because it is a US-ONLY thing. And I happen to hate US only stuff. But for a reason, mind you, because I don't live in the freaking United States of America!
Also the code (for installable apps) is pretty much open source, like it or not. Every one can see my code so if I make it paid with my own code, anyone can copy my code and publish the app. (The fact that it can run online makes it almost impossible to restrict unauthorized usage) They have some licencing API but it's experimental and US only, huh! I really hope someone at Google reads this, I live in India BTW.
People don't write paid apps because they don't support it well. It's not developer's thing, it's Google's thing.

There's one huge problem with Chrome Web Apps - normal Internet users don't know about the web store, and when they do find it and install an app, they don't know how to find them in their browser. I don't know how many people I have shown how to get Angry Birds in Chrome, but they always email me again asking how to get back to it. If you set your home page or New Tab to something other than the app listing, then it's really confusing to find your apps!

I wanted to add that I personally use and recommend the AppJump App Launcher and Organizer to solve this problem. I can't believe that Chrome doesn't have something like this built in.

chrome at 22% and ie at 42%? what kind of shitty sources do you use? chrome is less than 10% and ie is over 60% according to quantcast, experian hitwise, comscore, and nielsen. if you use statcounter, a website made by some guy in his basement 2 years ago with no reliability whatsoever, well that's sad.

I started using the Web store, until I realized all the apps were mostly links.....
